The TRX 3.3 Racing Engine draws from the Traxxas heritage of engine design and manufacturing. 14-years of nitro engine development have culminated into the most powerful TRX engine ever made, the new TRX 3.3 Racing Engine. It embodies everything we've learned from over a decade of making engines more powerful, more reliable, and easier to use. The TRX 3.3 Racing Engine is so powerful it establishes a whole new classification of power.... Extreme Power!
The TRX 3.3 produces an extreme 60% more peak horsepower compared to the TRX 2.5! The overall power under the curve is nearly 50% greater to deliver the smooth, linear power output TRX engines are famous for. The TRX 3.3 Racing Engine offers thoroughbred race engine performance that's absolutely second to none.
There's no penalty to pay for having more power either. The TRX 3.3 Racing Engine is equipped with EZ-Start push-button electric starting and simple, reliable tuning from the two-needle composite slide carburetor.
Traxxas Stability Management
Traxxas Stability Management makes it possible to experience all the extreme power, speed, and acceleration that was engineered into Traxxas models by making them much easier to control on common slippery surfaces such as loose dirt, smooth concrete, and even ice and snow. Punch it off the line and TSM goes to work sensing the vehicle’s direction and making steering corrections to provide straight-ahead full throttle acceleration without fishtailing, spinouts, or loss of control. TSM also works during cornering, first making intuitive corrections to maintain the vehicle’s line, then hammer the throttle earlier in the turn for much faster exit speeds. Braking is dramatically improved as TSM works to keep the vehicle arrow straight until it comes to a complete stop. Traxxas TSM gives all the benefits modern electronic stabilization without intruding on driving fun or introducing unwanted and a disconnected driving feel. Traxxas engineers developed superior tuning algorithms that run on high-speed, precision electronic components to create a system that works invisibly, in the background, without ever limiting throttle. TSM can be fine-tuned (or turned off) for different surfaces by simply adjusting the multi-function knob on the TQi transmitter, or by adjusting the slider in the Traxxas Link app. The result is driving faster, with more ease, and having more fun. You may not even realize how much it is helping until you try to drive without it.
