The Leopard 2A7A1 represents the latest evolution of the successful Leopard series. The Bundeswehr is investing 525.6 million euros in this modernization of its tank fleet with an order for 17 units. The optionally available Trophy protection system makes it one of the best protected battle tanks in the world. Further development to the Leopard 2A8 is already planned with 105 units.
