Developed and produced in 1916 the R.A.F. SE-5 aircraft was easy to fly. Stable and forgiving, even a mediocre pilot could capitalize on the steadiness of the aircraft, firing at the enemy from further away with a greater degree of accuracy. Equipped with the Wolseley Viper V-8 engine, performance and reliability was greater than earlier British fighter aircraft.
Model Specs:
• Wingspan: 20”, Length: 16”, Height: 7 ¼”
• Basswood, Aircraft Plywood.
• Brittania Metal Castings.
• Photo-Etched Metal
• Brass Fittings
The kit includes hundreds of wood, cast metal, brass, aluminum, copper and other parts to construct the airframe and weapons, dozens of cast metal parts to construct the Wolseley Viper Engine (also available separately), and has working flight controls and numerous other features to make this exquisitely detailed display model as realistic as possible at this scale.
Documentation includes an 86-page Instruction Manual, Parts List and 6 full-scale detailed Plan Sheets.
