FT Tubby B-17 390th Squadron Decal Set

The FT Tubby B-17 390th Squadron Decal Set was created to celebrate this amazing aircraft for its amazing service outside of WWII "I’ll be around" saw service at the end of the war and never saw battle. However, it did use its incredible payload capacity and abilities for fighting fires for the US Forest Service and even flying for the Coast Guard doing aerial mapping. These roles show that the B-17 was not only an incredible machine to defend our freedom, but also save and serve well after the war was over.

The original aircraft is now meticulously restored and on display at the 390th memorial museum. You can see it in person or visit their website at 390th.org. We want to celebrate the amazing men from the 390th bombardment group not only for their bravely in battle, but also for their service to save 1000s of lives through humanitarian missions over Holland. Using stripped down B-17s and carrying maximum weight of food and rations, they successfully saved starving and suffering people who had been cut off from supply lines and the means to survive.
