The spring of 1917the RNAS was issued a new single seat scout, the Sopwith Ttriplane. Known popularly as the Tripe Hound. This was the first triplane layout aircraft to get into combat. Its unique appearance made a startling impact on flyers on both side of the trenches. Developed for the RFC it was rejected as being too flimsy for the sluggling taking place on the western front. The war office traded the yet unbuilt Sopwith design for the Naval Spad VII. This was possibly the biggest mistake the RFC ever made.

All the wheel parts necessary to build the wheels as shown in the picture are included in the kit. Also included are the vacuum-formed dummy radial engine and the Vickers machine gun, covering material, full-size plans, instructions, rigging material, wire and the best balsa you'll find anywhere.
