FEATURES
The mutiny of the BOUNTY is perhaps the most well-known of all mutinies in maritime history. Under the command of Captain William Bligh, the BOUNTY was homeward bound from an expedition to Tahiti. Off the Tonga Islands, one of the officers, Fletcher Christian, raised a mutiny - supported by some 27 members of the BOUNTY's crew of 46. Together with loyal crew members, Captain Bligh was set out in an open boat roughly 30 miles from Tofua. After 40 days on the open sea they reached Timor and could then return to England.
The mutineers returned to Tahiti where about half of them settled, while the rest continued to Pitcairn Island, where their fair-haired descendants can be seen to this day.
The BOUNTY is a 1:50 scale model of wood construction and comes complete with fittings.
