Measures two inches between lead-out cable holes.
It's a relatively inexpensive piece, but the bellcrank is one of the most important parts of a control-line airplane. Every control line builder and flyer looks for the bellcrank with the greatest durability and reliability.
These are made of Dupont Zytel® nylon resin and have been extensively tested, both in the laboratory and in the field. Testing was performed by applying direct tension to the lead-out cable holes of each bellcrank arm, using a hydraulic compression/tension machine.
Deflection and load-carrying capabilities were tested for these Brodak bellcranks as well as for comparable bellcranks from other manufacturers and the Brodak units proved to be stronger and more durable in all tests, exceeding other brands by as much as three times in some instances.
