¹ 49 MHz — These frequencies are primarily used in toys as contrasted to the hobby models and are not recommended for control of hobby model aircraft. They are also limited by range as the transmitters are only allowed to transmit 100 milliwatts of RF Power.

² 50 & 53 MHz — A valid Amateur Radio Operators License is required to own and operate equipment on these frequencies.

³ 2.4 GHZ spread spectrum radios are approved for use in Canada by Industry Canada and MAAC.

All frequencies in the 72MHz band are for the exclusive use of model aircraft. (Channels 11 through 60)

All frequencies in the 75MHz band are for the exclusive use of surface models such as cars and boats. (Channels 61 through 90)

In Canada it is no longer legal to operate aircraft models on the frequencies 72.080, 72.160, 72.320, 72.400, and 72.960. It is reccommended that new equipment be purchased to replace these frequencies. Their use is no longer allowed due to the close proximity to the other channels and the fact that equipment using these frequencies would be wide band and technically out-of-date.
