The Herr Engineering Starlite is a state-of-the-art electric park flyer that comes in at a miniscule 3½ to 4 ounces in weight!. It is a top quality kit that features the finest in laser-cut parts, hand selected balsa strip wood, wheels, carbon rod landing gear and pushrods, tissue covering, full-size plans, motor mount parts, and instruction manual.
The testing by Herr in developing this kit yielded some astounding results. Using a Wes-Technik motor/drive system, micro radio components including HS-50 servos, and a 9V lithium battery pack, flight times of 1 hr, 25 minutes and 1 hr, 47 minutes were recorded. They reported that there was still plenty of battery left at the end of this flight and maximum flight time with this battery pack has yet to be determined. Using standard 7-cell and 8-cell 50mAh battery packs will have considerably lower flight times!
