One of the most widely recognized aircraft ever produced, the Piper J-3 Cub is available with Great Planes' computer designed and drawn engineering—resulting in outstanding scale accuracy and easy assembly.
This model has been created using actual 3-view drawings of the original aircraft. The wing, fuselage, rudder and stabilizer are all recreated to scale.
The kit features precisely die-cut, interlocking parts and many "extras" for smooth scale building—like leading edges which are already notched for automatic rib replacement, and nearly all-balsa construction (which is easier to finish and cover than the poplar ply construction of other Cubs).
Best of all, if you've successfully built and flown a trainer, you can succeed with a Great Planes Piper J-3 Cub. For smooth, scale-like flight, build the standard wing.
