Billed as one of the most “crash-resistant” aircraft ever, the Dura-Plane Trainer 20 & Trainer 40 are designed for the beginner, with a super strong PVC fuselage, foam wing, balsa tail, and aluminum main channel tailboom, enabling it to survive even nose dives right into the ground. Built-in dihedral and a flat-bottom airfoil make gentle flights and low-speed landings easy to attain. Building time for beginners is just 8 to 12 hours.
The Trainer 20 is designed for 3-channel operation with no ailerons and has “tail-dragger” landing gear. It requires a 3-channel radio and a 2-cycle .20 to .25 engine. The Trainer 40 is designed for 4-channel operation with ailerons and has tricycle landing gear. It requires a 4-channel radio and a 2-C .40 to .46 engine.
